2026 — Oh, the peony! This plant fascinates me. Its beautiful, fragrant flowers remind me of my grandma and Aunt Rolene. I have struggled with protecting the plants from Charlie, though. Between flying toys and being sat on, they may take the hardest hits in the garden. I moved them to a more open area this year in hopes they will be less of a target. I also added four or five new plants, which did not fare especially well with less water than they needed.
