Took an entire summer Scraping, Mudding, Sanding, Repeat. Luckily the ceiling had 4 layers of wallpaper also. The ceiling tiles were applied with a black tarlike glue in polka dot fashion. The wall paper came off so easily with a vinegar, dish soap, and water solution. We also drilled holes and used hangers to put glue behind the ceiling plaster to make sure it would stay secure for many more years. The floor was a last minute decision well made. To finish the floor with oil will prolong it’s life and while we were already in a mess and didn’t have a couch this was the time to do it.

Removed ceiling tiles, wood paneling, 4 layers of wallpaper, on the ceiling too. Patched holes, Mud nearly everywhere. fresh paint. Refinished the floors a second time.
